Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
